I provide therapeutic coaching for individuals who struggle with emotional issues, for those who feel stuck or overwhelmed by the challenges of modern life or parenting.
I know, from personal experience, about managing stress and the overwhelm that can be triggered by the simplest every day experience. Does fear keep getting the better of you? Our childhood influences how we respond to life, especially when there has been early trauma or harsh parenting.
Psychotherapy and Parenting & Family Counselling with Miranda Fairhall
I believe, even though life may include many adverse experiences or traumas, there is a way through the pain and fear to a place of freedom; a way to come home to living your best potential self in this lifetime, be that as a parent, socially, in your relationships or at work.
A bit about me; I am an Aussie, an adoptive mum, a qualified integrative psychotherapist and Certified Instructor of ‘Hand in Hand’ Parenting (a trauma-sensitive, and attachment informed parenting approach). What I bring, to therapy, is an ability to listen well, to establish a safe and connected relationship with my clients that enables healing and growth.
What I believe is that everyone can feel alive and free, everyone can live authentically without feeling threatened by the presence of ghosts from the past. I want my clients to experience the release and relief that can be achieved through therapy, self-care and somatic (body oriented) practices.
As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on various therapeutic modalities. I have a qualification in family systems and a strong interest in developmental trauma and the body mind connection. I like to support parents who find their buttons are pushed by their children’s behaviours, who meet a shadowy side to themselves, that they feel ashamed of as well as individuals who want to break free from the ties that bind them from being their best selves.
I run trauma sensitive parenting classes and parent groups.
As a founding member of We Are Family (WAF), a UK based adoption support community set up by parents for parents, I help run the local Hackney/Islington WAF parent group.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in Human Resources, Change Management and Management Consulting.
I moved to London from Australia in 2009.
