Welcome
You might be looking for therapy because you feel uneasy, disconnected or anxious. Maybe you are navigating a big life transition, feeling stuck, sad or struggling to make changes you know you want? Even when you cannot name exactly what is wrong, sometimes the discomfort can be just as distressing as any clear emotion.
When you come to therapy with me, you will find a calm, confidential space to speak freely without fear of judgement.
Together we will explore what’s happening – and your feelings, thoughts, and beliefs – so that you can begin to untangle the patterns that keep you stuck. By deepening your self awareness and experimenting with new ways of being, you can start to create a life that feels authentic and satisfying.
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist and welcome all genders and sexualities.
Psychotherapy with Izzy
Some of the issues that I’ve supported people with include:
Burnout, work boundaries and overwork
Feeling anxious, unsatisfied at work or close to burnout? You might be struggling with boundaries and balance, feeling drained, resentful, or uninspired.
Anxiety and overwhelm
Feeling anxious can be really scary. You may find yourself caught in endless loops of what-ifs or struggling to focus on the present. Behaviours that once started as ways of keeping you safe may have started to feel restrictive. We can look at what’s going on behind these feelings, and explore new ways of being and responding.
Feeling stuck, lost or repeating patterns
Maybe you know you want something to change, but you’re not sure what or how. Perhaps you recognise a loop you keep falling into? Together we can look at the dynamics driving these patterns so you can move toward something that feels more manageable.
Life changes and transitions
Shifts in home, work, health, or relationships can be difficult to navigate, even when they are wanted. Talking through your feelings about these shifts can help you process, adjust, and regain a sense of footing.
Creative practice and artistic blocks
If you feel disconnected from your creative voice, held back by perfectionism, or weighed down by an inner critic, we can explore what is getting in the way. Together, we’ll look at how to rebuild a sustainable, playful relationship with your creative work.
Relationships
We can explore the patterns, roles, and dynamics shaping your relationships and your experience within them.
Purpose, meaning, and big questions
Sometimes all you know is that something is off. Therapy with me offers a reflective space to explore big questions, life goals, or core values.
How I work
Therapy with me is centred on you, a warm, non judgemental space where you can bring whatever you are thinking or feeling. My approach is collaborative and client-led. You are the expert in your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and compassion.
Each session is shaped by what you bring in the moment, working in the here and now, and guided by your goals. We will have regular check-ins to review our work together, and if anything feels off, we’ll change direction accordingly.
Training and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling (4 years), Homa London
- Ongoing continual professional development
Getting Started
Finding the right therapist matters. If you are interested in working together, contact me to arrange a free 15 minute call where you can ask questions and get a sense of whether we are a good fit.
After that, I recommend we have an initial session to see if we’re a good fit. This first session will be an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy, get to know each other, and get a feel for how I work.
