You might be looking for therapy because you’re feeling stuck and repeating old patterns of behaviour. Perhaps it feels difficult to sustain meaningful relationships with others, or maybe you are feeling unfulfilled with life?
Whatever the catalyst has been, talking with a therapist can really help to unravel the issues and support you to move forward.
Therapy with Lottie Boswell
I work individually with adults and offer therapy for a range of issues and concerns, with particular experience in working with clients who are:
- Suffering from anxiety, panic and overwhelming feelings
- Experiencing depression or periods of low mood
- Survivors of childhood sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse
- The impact of having been at boarding school
- Navigating family relationships
- Suffering from feeling withdrawn or disconnected from others
- Work related issues
- Suffering from chronic health issues, particularly those living with Endometriosis
- Difficulties or issues within relationships
- Navigating parenting issues
- Exploring significant life stages
Our experiences in childhood and within our families can have a profound impact on us as adults. I work in a way which takes into consideration how your early life and experiences may be influencing you presently. During a therapy session, we can explore the nature of these issues, discover the roots of your response, and find new ways of managing overwhelming feelings.
You may recognise yourself in something listed above, or you may not – there can often be some apprehension in seeking out therapy, but speaking with a therapist can be useful to recognise, acknowledge and process feelings and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
How we work together in therapy
As an Integrative therapist I draw from a variety of approaches tailored to the unique needs of each individual client.
My way of working is underpinned by developmental thinking which takes into consideration how your early life and experiences may be influencing you presently. I work in a relational and trauma-informed way which means that the relationship we are able to build therapeutically will be fundamental in offering the necessary support and safety in working together. I work alongside my clients in thinking about what may be feeling difficult and how we might be able to use therapy to address some of these things.
I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space in which we can work collaboratively in order to explore and help resolve the issues you may be facing. What’s most important is that together we can connect and create a space where we’re able to consider the aspects of life that feel tricky or painful.
